Pranayam Breathwork is a yogic style involving a simple inhalation in through the nose and a simple exhalation out through the mouth. This practice is designed to cool down the system, as opposed to other breathwork techniques that tend to heat the system up. Pranayam has a very calming effect on the mind and the body.

My first experience with breathwork was at the age of 14: I had a near-death experience losing complete control of my breath, being put on a ventilator, and learning to re-breathe after five days of being in a coma. Afterwards, I was invited to partake in simple breathing techniques to learn how to self regulate. These techniques stayed with me as I grew further into my life’s path; including working towards my own addiction recovery while moving to New York City where I vastly immersed myself in a variety of modalities to process my own traumas and addictions. I found pranic breathwork and became a frequent student of meditation and yoga. After a trip to India I ungraciously went into a vipassana meditation retreat in Himachal where I developed a further understanding of breathwork and dove head first into the power of healing through Somatic breathwork experiences—leaving a beauteous and deep eagerness to understand and studying healing as much as possible. With over fifteen years of training, experience, and continuous personal practice and study, I am a community breathwork facilitator who has weaved the knowledge of many powerful styles of breath–such as yogic, rebirthing, holotropic, short-circuit, neodynamic, and shamanistic breathwork–into a simple set of psychedelic modality to help heal, transform, and safely process trauma. This aids in recovery and offers clarity around maximizing your fullest potential and staying connected to your own power of knowing that we are all our own HEALERs.
